Kevlar® Timing Belts from Chemi-Flex

Most people associate Kevlar® with safety and cut resistance provided in protective clothing and tactical gear, but it has a vast number of uses unknown to the layperson. It is a lightweight and durable reinforcing material that offers extremely high strength as well as resistance to stretching, especially in applications under extreme conditions.

At Chemi-Flex, we manufacture Kevlar® timing belts that incorporate this strength and reinforcement to make the most durable timing belts available. Within our category of Kevlar® timing belts, we offer a variety of grades of Kevlar® that we use within our urethane timing belts that are engineered to help in your application. These different grades of Kevlar® offer varying degrees of strength and flexibility to help ensure smooth operation and maximum load capabilities. Additionally, we offer a “high-flex” Kevlar®, which is engineered to operate in systems with smaller radius pulley design and even allows for maximum performance when used in serpentine applications where there could be multiple back bends and backside idlers.

The Process

Through the use of our in-house 3-D CAD designing system and machine shop, we will produce a mold designed to manufacture your products. This allows us to provide a much faster turnaround time than many other belting manufacturers and helps to provide you with prototype and production parts as quickly as possible.

All of our Kevlar® timing belts, as with all of our belts and products, are produced under monitored and constantly evaluated quality control processes. We test all of our belts throughout the stages of manufacturing as well as reproduce testing fixtures that mimic the real-world applications for your timing belts.
